Importing products into Wizart PIM involves several steps to ensure your data and images are correctly uploaded and organized. Follow the process below for a smooth and accurate import.
1. Download the Import File Template
To begin, download the import file template from Wizart PIM. This template will guide you in filling out the necessary product information [File template].
2. Review Important Articles Before Starting the Import
Before filling out the import file, it’s crucial to go through key articles that explain product properties, image requirements, and various configurations. These resources will guide you in ensuring your import is accurate and compliant with Wizart PIM standards.
Here are the essential articles to review in the order we recommend you read them:

3. Fill in the Import File
Once you’ve reviewed the properties and image requirements, start filling in the import file. Make sure to:
Enter accurate product details like SKU, dimensions, pattern sizes (if applicable), and context (if used).
Ensure that the product's metadata matches the images you plan to upload.
4. Handling Multiple Images for One Product
If you need to upload multiple images for a single product (especially if layouts are supported by our platform), you have two options:
Option 1: List all image names
List all image names in the import file, separating them with commas (e.g.,image_1.png, image_2.png, image_3.png
).Option 2: Use a common name prefix
If the product images share a common name prefix (e.g.,image_1
,image_2
,image_3
), you can set the prefix in the import file (e.g.,image_
). All images that match this prefix will be associated with the product.
However, be cautious: if multiple products have images with similar name prefixes, this can lead to errors. The prefix must be unique for each product. If this is not possible, all image files for a product should be explicitly listed in the import file.
5. Preparing the Image Archive
Now that your import file is ready, organize your product images and create a compressed archive (ZIP):
Folder structure: The folder structure inside the archive is flexible. You can organize your images in nested folders if needed.
Unique file names: Ensure that all image file names are unique. Duplicate file names in different folders within the archive may cause errors during the import.
Allowed file types: Only
.png
,.jpg
, or.jpeg
files should be included in the archive. No other file types are allowed.Decals: If you are importing decals, the images must be in
.png
format to support transparency.
6. Importing the Data
Once your archive and import file are prepared:
Go to Wizart PIM's import section.
Upload the import file and the image archive.
Follow the prompts to complete the import process.
By following these steps carefully, you can ensure that your products are imported successfully, with accurate data and image associations. If any errors occur during the process, review the error log and correct any issues with file names, image formats, or import file entries.
