Migration Guide: Moving from RapidAPI to AWS Marketplace
We're excited to welcome you to our new home on AWS Marketplace! To make this transition as smooth as possible if you're on a paid plan — meaning a subscription with a fixed monthly fee that includes a set number of prepaid API requests — we will provide you with a free AWS subscription period equivalent to your remaining paid time on RapidAPI.
If you're currently using the Basic plan on RapidAPI, you are not eligible for a compensatory offer because there are no additional costs when moving to AWS. In that case, simply subscribe to our API on AWS Marketplace by following Step 1 from our Getting Started guide.
Then skip ahead to Step 5 of this guide to update your API key and endpoint.
Please follow the steps below to migrate your API usage from RapidAPI to AWS Marketplace:
Step 1: Create an AWS Account
If you don’t already have an AWS account, you’ll need to create one:
Follow the registration process, which includes:
Providing your contact and billing details
Verifying your identity
Selecting a support plan (you can choose the Basic plan if you prefer)
Account creation may take a few minutes.
Step 2: Locate Your AWS Account ID
Once your AWS account is set up:
Log in to the AWS Console
In the navigation bar on the upper right, choose your account name or number and then choose Security credentials.
Under the Account details section, the account number appears next to AWS account ID.
Note
In some AWS interfaces, the layout may vary slightly depending on your role or permissions.
If you don’t see the account ID in the location described above, or if your console looks different, refer to Amazon’s official documentation for alternate methods of locating your AWS Account ID:
Step 3: Send Us Your AWS Account ID
Please send your AWS Account ID to us at support@wizart.ai with the subject line:[RapidAPI Migration] AWS Account ID Submission
Include in your message:
Your AWS Account ID
Your RapidAPI username or account email
(Optional) A brief note mentioning the plan you're currently subscribed to on RapidAPI
If you’ve received this guide as an email, you can simply reply to it with the required details — no need to start a new message.
Once we receive your information, we’ll send you a custom AWS offer that matches the remaining paid period of your RapidAPI subscription. This offer will allow you to subscribe at no additional cost for the covered period.
Step 4: Accept the AWS Marketplace Offer
Follow the link we send you to view your private AWS offer
Click "Subscribe" and follow the prompts
Properly fill the registration form with your personal name, email, and company name. This information is required for proper configuration of your application and ensuring smooth integration with the API.
After submitting the form and receiving a confirmation message, wait a few minutes for an email with access details and further instructions. This email will be sent to the address you provided during registration.
Complete Purchase: Follow the on-screen instructions to finalize your purchase through AWS.
Step 5: Update Your API Key and Endpoint
Once your subscription is active:
You will receive a new API key (either through the Marketplace interface or via email instructions)
Replace the old key in your application (e.g., in your
.envfile or headers)Replace any instance of the RapidAPI endpoint (e.g.,
https://vision-api.p.rapidapi.com/...) with the new one.
New API Endpoint:
https://vision-api.wizart.ai/v1.0/Step 6: Verify Integration
Once you've updated both your API key and endpoint:
Run a test call using your new configuration
Confirm everything works as expected
If you experience any issues or difficulties following this guide, please contact us at support@wizart.ai.
