To ensure high-quality visualization in Wizart solutions, it's essential that all product images meet certain standards. Proper image quality will not only guarantee the correct display of your products but also affect the overall experience for end-users.

General Image Requirements:

To avoid issues during visualization and provide a seamless experience, make sure that your images comply with the following:

  • File Format:

    • Images should be in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format.

    • If your texture requires a transparent background, use .png.

  • Color Model:

    • The image must use the RGB color model to be compatible with visualizer rendering systems.

  • Minimum Resolution:

    • The image should have a resolution of at least 1000 pixels on its largest side.

    • Remember, the higher the resolution, the better the visualization quality. Lower resolutions may result in pixelation or poor-quality rendering.

  • No Watermarks or Logos:

    • The image should be free of watermarks, logos, or any other branding artifacts, as these will affect the display in the visualizer.

  • Lighting and Shadowing:

    • The image should not contain any glare, uneven lighting, or shadow patterns. Avoid vignetting effects around the edges of the image, which can create unnatural borders in the visualizer.

  • Perspective and Distortion:

    • Distortion in perspective is not allowed. The image should be captured at a correct angle, with all parts appearing in proportion.

  • Detail Level:

    • The image must be highly detailed. Textures should clearly show fine details to ensure accurate visualization.

  • No Noise:

    • There should be no visual noise in the image, which can occur due to poor lighting or over-compression.

  • No Chromatic Aberrations:

    • Chromatic aberration, or color distortion along edges, is not allowed. Ensure that colors in the image are clean and natural.

  • Compression Artifacts:

    • Artifacts from over-compression, such as blocky sections or blurry areas, must be avoided.

  • Posterization:

    • Avoid posterization, where smooth gradients of color are broken into distinct bands.

  • Moire Effects:

    • The image should be free from moire patterns (a visual interference created by repeating patterns in the texture).

  • Avoid frame

    • Avoid frame along the image perimeter, including the transparent one.

Pattern and Layout Setup:

When importing products, you can either provide a single tile image or a prearranged layout of multiple tiles. Both methods ensure that your textures will be applied correctly to surfaces, but it's essential to understand which option best suits your needs.

You have two distinct options when setting up product layouts during the import process:

  1. Automatic Layout Generation by Wizart

  2. Uploading a Prearranged Layout

To help you decide, we've provided examples of both options below:

Option 1: Automatic Layout Generation by Wizart

In this method, Wizart PIM will automatically generate layouts based on the images you provide and layouts values listed in the import file https://wizart.atlassian.net/wiki/x/BgAQuw . This option is perfect for users who don’t want to manually prepare layouts but want realistic, varied patterns applied to their products.

Important: In some cases, you may need to familiarize yourself with seam configuration for certain materials. For best results, review the article on Seam Configuration for Materials in Wizart PIM to ensure If you plan to use automatic layouts, it is essential to review the article on , as seam settings are a critical part of ensuring your images are properly prepared for the final automatic layout .

How It Works:

  • Single Tile Upload: If you upload one image, Wizart will generate layouts by mirroring or rotating the image. This ensures your layout looks natural, even when only one image is provided.

  • Multiple Images Upload: When multiple images are provided (recommended 4-8), Wizart will use all of them to create various layouts, improving the realism of how patterns might look in real life

generation. Understanding seam configuration will help achieve the best results for your product's final layout.

Option 2: Uploading a Prearranged Layout

In this method, users upload a fully prepared layout, which is then applied directly to the surface without any additional layout generation by Wizart. This option is suitable for users who want complete control over how their products are displayed.

    How It Works:

    • Prearranged Layout Upload: If you upload a prearranged layout of multiple tiles, Wizart will render it directly. The image must be ready for immediate application, with the correct proportions and spacing between tiles already prepared.

    • Single Layout for Product: End users of the Wizart Visualizer will only see this one layout, with no option to select alternative layouts in the UI.

    Important Notes:

    • Failing to provide accurate pattern_width and pattern_length values may result in incorrect scaling or misalignment when the layout is applied to the surface.

    • The layouts field in the import file will be ignored if you are uploading a prearranged layout. This is because Wizart will not generate additional layouts.

    • Only one image can be attached per product when using this methodyou are uploading a prearranged layout. If you attempt to upload multiple images, they will not be processed.

    • Repeatable Patterns:

      • Ensure that your pattern is seamlessly repeatable if you intend for it to tile across large surfaces.

      • Double-check that the edges of your texture align perfectly so that when repeated, no visible seams or misalignments occur.

    Conclusion:

By following these image quality and pattern guidelines, you'll ensure that your product textures are accurately visualized in the Wizart ecosystem, providing an optimal user experience. Whether you’re working with individual tiles, complex layouts, or simple textures, paying attention to these details will greatly enhance the appearance and functionality of your products in the visualizer and other applications.
